What is BOMA?

The Spokane Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA Spokane) is the premier commercial real estate association. Commercial building owners, property managers, engineers and vendors form the nucleus of the over 100 BOMA members and are privy to networking events, educational seminars and social gatherings. Since 1912, BOMA Spokane has served the industry in many capacities. If you are an industry professional, we highly encourage you to join today.

Why should I be a BOMA Member?

Membership with BOMA Spokane is crucial for any building owner, manager, or industry partner. Some key aspects of being a member include priceless networking opportunities, legislative advocacy, up-to-date market information, and much, much more. Interested in BOMA, but not sure yet if it is for you? Attend one of our luncheons! You can find current events under the “events” and “calendar” section of our website.

Do I have to be a member to attend a membership luncheon?

No! If it is your first time attending a BOMA luncheon, we would love to host you. We will even pay for your lunch! If you wish to attend a meeting and are not a member with us yet, please email our association executive using the “contact” section of our website. She will gladly make you a name tag for the lunch and connect you with a board member at the luncheon to sit with and network!

How do I become a member?

To become a member of BOMA Spokane, you will need to fill out a membership application. You can fill out this form online here or request a PDF copy from our association executive at bae@bomaspokane.org.

After you fill out a membership application, and your membership dues, your application gets sent to our nominating committee for review. Once it is reviewed and your references have been contacted, it gets sent to the board of directors of approval. From there, your application gets voted on by the general membership at one of our luncheons. After that, you are officially a BOMA Spokane member!

Where can I get a membership application?

How many people may I add to my membership and is there a cost for additional people?

Memberships are purchased on an individual basis, not on a company or group basis.

What is the cost of membership?

In 2024, a membership for the year is $1,340. This price consists of $1,300 for dues, a mandatory $10 for the Industry Defense Fund (IDF), and voluntary $30 for the Washington Political Action Committee (PAC).

Additional memberships for existing principal membership companies are $1,040 each.

Is the membership for one person or for the company?

One person. Remember though, if you leave that company, the membership stays with the company that paid, it does not get transferred to the person who left.

How do I become a part of a committee?

Want to be part of a committee? Awesome!! We would love to have you take an active role on one of our membership committees. Please look at what committees we have under the “committees” tab of this website. To find out if there is an open position on the committee of your choice, you can email the committee chair or send an email to our association executive at bae@bomaspokane.org.

How can I pay my membership dues?

There are many difference ways to pay your membership dues! You can

  • mail a check to BOMA Spokane at P.O. Box 592 Spokane, WA 99210.

  • pay by credit card with a 3.5% + $0.15 credit card fee by calling our association executive, Liz, at (509) 344-2662

  • pay using a credit card, or using PayPal, with a 3.5% + $0.15 credit card fee on our website under the “shop” tab
